Sport presentation

A sport covering a number of disciplines that are divided into track events, jumping events, throwing events, combined events, and road events. Athletics is a rare sport that is practised almost everywhere by both amateurs and in competitions of all levels. Its success can be explained in part by its simplicity and the fact that its practice requires little equipment. Athletic competition can be traced back to ancient civilizations and its disciplines have evolved and been standardized over the centuries.
