Sport presentation
A sport in which competitors perform a series of acrobatic movements on various apparatuses. In artistic gymnastics, women compete in four events: the vault, the uneven bars, the beam, and the floor; men compete in six events: the floor, the pommel horse, the rings, the vault, the parallel bars, and the horizontal bar. In competition, officials judge each event according to standardized rules. Gymnasts who compete in the trampoline event perform jumps and acrobatic movements that are amplified by the trampoline apparatus. The trampoline event is also judged by a panel of officials.
Sport Association
The Association Régionale de Gymnastique Montréal-Concordia (ARGMC) is a non-profit organization. The mission of the ARGMC is to promote and ensure the development of artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, and trampoline sports in Montreal.
