Sport presentation

Combat sport and martial art of Korean origin. The practitioner of taekwondo is called a taekwondoist and the training room is called a dojang. During competitions, the wearing of protective gear is mandatory. Said sport, taekwondo WT is a sport recognized at the Olympic Games and the Quebec Games. All blows must be made standing and above the belt. The blows are worth different scores and are done mainly with the feet. Punches are only allowed to the body. Kicks are allowed to the body only for recreational/leisure and to the head for black belts. A center referee manages the fight and the penalties in collaboration with the corner judges. The techniques are spectacular, especially because of the aerial and spinning sequences.
